Yeshua and Moshe

R. Berekiah said in the name of R. Isaac: As the first redeemer was, so shall the latter Redeemer be. What is stated of the former redeemer? And Moses took his wife, and his sons, and set them upon an ass (Ex.XVI, 4). Similarly will it  be with the latter Redeemer [Messiah], as it is stated, Lowly and riding upon an ass.
-Midrash Rabbah, Ecclesiastes I. 9, 1

Yeshua
Moshe
When Yeshua was born, a brutal ruler (Herod) sought to kill Him, and many babies were slaughtered
When Moshe was born, a brutal ruler (Pharoah) sought to kill him, and many babes were slaughtered
Left Heaven to deliever His people
Left Egyptian riches to deliever his people
His first public miracles were over the power of the demons, and over leprosy.
His first public miracles were over the curse of the snakes, and over leprosy.
He has been rejected corporately by Isra'el
His own people at first refused to listen to him and rejected him, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and judge over us?'
Though Israel was indebted to him for dying for them, yet they murmered against him, and even once were ready to stone him. (Ex. 17:4)
Though Israel was indebted to him for delivering them, yet they murmered against him, and even
once were ready to stone him. (Ex. 17:4)
Turned water to wine
Turned water to blood
Delivered His people from spiritual slavery
Delievered his people from physical slavery
Walked on water
Parted the water
Yeshua is the Bread from heaven, and he multiplied bread from two loaves and fed His people
Gave bread to his people in the wilderness
Fasted 40 days
Fasted 40 days
He was meek, 'above all the men who were on the face of the earth'.
He was meek, 'above all the men who were on the face of the earth'. (Numb. 12:3)
Gave the New Torah(Torah of Moshe, interpreted to perfection)
Gave the Torah
Yeshua is the Mediator, who has atoned for our sins.
He was a mediator. 'I stood between the L-rd and you.' (Deut. 5:5) 'So He said He would
destroy them--had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before Him, to keep His wrath from destroying them.' (Psalm 106:23)
Yeshua is the Word of God.
He was the mouthpiece of G-d: 'And Moses came and told the people all the words of the L-rd.'
(Ex. 24:3)
Is the Word upon which people live
He gave the people the words by which they were to live.
He completed His mission of spiritual redemption, and will complete His work soon.
He finished the work he was given to do.'Thus did Moses according to all that the L-rd commanded, so he did.' (Ex. 40:16)  'So Moses finished the work.' (Ex. 40:33)
He intercedes for us at the Right Hand of the Father
Israel rebelled against his leadership, and the Almighty would have destroyed them, but they were forgiven because he interceded for them. 'The L-rd replied, 'I have forgiven them, as you
asked.' (Numb. 14:20)
Was lifted up on the cross and became the curse for us, and all who look to him will be redeemed from the curse
Moshe lifted up the serpent on the stick, and those who looked to the symbol of the curse were healed
Only the believing remnant will enter Heaven
Yet only the believing remnant was permitted to enter the promised land.
He ascended to the Father, and will return
He passed and repassed easily between Israel and the L-rd, having access to both.
